Here is a little selection of my portfolio. To find out more; please view my services page.
Hunts
Hunts is a specialist outsized menswear shop in Boscombe, an incredible niche, after being told by their customers that they should get themselves a website; they contacted me.
After discussing the various options with the owners, they elected to have me create a shopping cart system, bespoke and created from scratch for Hunts, rather than using an off the shelf cart and heavily modifying it. Due to the nature of the shop, the website is orientated towards sizes (a bespoke shopping cart allowed me to do this). A major part of the Hunts website is the admin interace; this allows complete control, fast insertion of new products, and even allows for automatic submission to eBay.
Because there is a massive amount of stock and the task of adding it is so huge, and as Hunts had no member of staff to dedicate to the website; I spend time at the shop working to populate the website and on various improvements. As the website has grown, I've added more and more features; order tracking for customers, bulk product adding for Hunts, advanced search, dynamic product graphics and much more.
I also work to promote and market the website. I handle Google Adwords, submissions, SEO, and have developed a voucher system - from the coding to the printing. As a final solution to stock control, I have developed a barcode system for Hunts; using bespoke software and incorperating printers, scanners, and the website.

Trace Is Not A Place
TRACE is an artist led not for profit initiative based in Weymouth, ran by Sian Bonnell. After being let down by their original designer, they contacted me to both complete and improve upon the original website.
I worked with Kassia Gawronski who had drawn up the original design. My role has been to turn the TRACE website, which at the time was a made up of over two hundred static HTML pages, into a dynamic, easily updatable and functional site. The site now runs off a MySQL database allowing Sian and Kassia to easily add and modify editions, and now contains a new forum, newsletter, and tidied up pages.

bh101
bh101 was a community website and, partly, an experiment of mine trying out various technologies. The website was aimed at Bournemouth and Poole residents (bh1 is a postcode for Bournemouth) and provided a combination of social and informative features. Users could create profiles, add modules, send each other gifts (these features have since turned up on Facebook!), and use a bizarre and complicated feature to find other people who looked like them. There was a forum, galleries, classifieds and many other features. All of these were coded, by myself, for the website.
One of the main features was a large directory of local businesses. Free for companies to add to, and several thousand entries were added automatically. Local bus routes were programmed in allowing people in the community to work out travel arrangements. Details of local car-parks and charges, cinema listings, weather, a calendar of local events, and more. All this information was compiled by myself, users of the website, and several experimental scripts collecting information.
bh101 crossed many mediums. Firstly; it could be accessed through a normal browser. But the website was also available on mobile internet with a shrunken website created especially for mobile phones, and features of the website could also be accessed by text message; rather than costly solutions offered by other companies, I developed a method myself using easily sourced hardware and some bespoke software.

Autumn's Bride
Autumn's Bride was a portfolio website for Bath-based fine artist, Marianne Castle. She had very specific design requirements which involved me finding and photographing the individual leaves and working them into a design that scaled with the browser but was also visually appealing.
Marianne wanted full control over the website, without having to send changes via myself. I built her a full control panel allowing modifications of everything from the galleries to the text on the pages.

The Thrills
The Thrills are an indie/rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland.
I worked with Andrew Holgate to create a Flash basketball game, allowing high scorers to win tickets for a gig in Dublin.

Ocean Drive
Ocean Drive are a Dorset-based band.
They wanted a website that looked just like one of their amplifiers. Achieved using a photograph as a source, and edited into a design that can shift and resize according to it's content. Along with a comprehensive editor to update everything from their individual bios, to upcoming gigs on their calendar.

This is just a selection of my portfolio, which I hope shows the range of projects I have worked on. If you are interested or have any questions, please have a read of my services page or contact me.
